Behind The Scene

What is Natural Shrunken?

Natural Shrunken is a finishing process that creates the pebbled-like grain on top of the leather by a process of shrinking the leather to enlarge and to enhance the grain of the leather. The process pulls the surface closer together subsequently, resulting in a more visible and deeper grain.

Unlike printed leather, which often uses inferior-quality, split leather with embossed print, the grain of the natural shrunken leather gives an exclusive luxurious look with a crispy soft touch.

The Tannery

Established in 1972, our Tannery is located in Castelfranco di Sotto within the Province of Pisa in Tuscany, located about 40 kilometres west of Florence.  Since then, the Tannery had became one of the most renowned leather tannery in the luxury fashion world through their innovative modernisation of traditional tanning method with the use of technology to ensure its exclusive quality, while being the first Italian tannery to acquire registration in the European EMAS list in social responsibility.

Our premium quality materials are ethically harvested from sources throughout Western Europe that have earned a reputation for creating the highest grade of coveted top grain leathers in the industry.
